Telegram Bot

Instant Telegram messages when something happens in your app. Connected with your own key — encrypted, server-side only, never exposed to the browser.

What you can build

Message me on Telegram when someone submits the contact form
Send new orders to our Telegram group with the total
Ping me when a booking is made for tomorrow

Prompts like these, typed into opix, produce working Telegram Bot features.

Connect it in three steps

01

Create the key

Generate an API key in your Telegram Bot account — the link below takes you to the exact page.

02

Paste it in opix

Open your project → Connectors, paste the key. It's stored encrypted and injected server-side; even you only see the last four characters afterwards.

03

Prompt what you want

Describe the feature in chat — opix writes the Telegram Bot code with honest fallbacks built in.

Keys & setup

Environment variableRequired
TELEGRAM_BOT_TOKENYes
TELEGRAM_CHAT_IDOptional

Create a bot with @BotFather to get the token. For notifications to yourself: message your bot once, then paste your numeric chat id (from @userinfobot) as the chat id.

Honest by default

Apps built with opix never pretend. Without a token/chat id, the primary action (order, submission) still persists; the Telegram send is skipped and admin UI shows a 'notifications off' hint.
