Mailchimp

Add signups to your Mailchimp audience from your app. Connected with your own key — encrypted, server-side only, never exposed to the browser.

What you can build

Add a newsletter signup that lands in my Mailchimp audience
Subscribe workshop registrants to my Mailchimp list
Grow my Mailchimp audience from the landing page

Prompts like these, typed into opix, produce working Mailchimp features.

Connect it in three steps

01

Create the key

Generate an API key in your Mailchimp account — the link below takes you to the exact page.

02

Paste it in opix

Open your project → Connectors, paste the key. It's stored encrypted and injected server-side; even you only see the last four characters afterwards.

03

Prompt what you want

Describe the feature in chat — opix writes the Mailchimp code with honest fallbacks built in.

Keys & setup

Environment variableRequired
MAILCHIMP_API_KEYYes
MAILCHIMP_AUDIENCE_IDYes

Create a key under Mailchimp → Account → Extras → API keys. Your Audience id is under Audience → Settings → Audience name and defaults. The datacenter (us1, us21, …) is read from the key suffix automatically.

Honest by default

Apps built with opix never pretend. Without keys, signups still persist to the database; the Mailchimp subscribe is skipped with an admin-only hint.
