Publish & custom domains
One click deploys your app to production on a live URL. Add your own domain with exact DNS records and plain-language diagnosis when something's off.
One click to production
Hit Publish and opix deploys your app to production hosting — a real production build on global infrastructure, not a preview iframe. The dialog shows live progress through each stage (preparing files, uploading, building, assigning the domain), and your app gets a clean opix subdomain as its live URL.
Publishing deploys your app's files exactly as they are — including your hand edits. Your vault secrets (database URL, connector keys) are synced as encrypted environment variables; BYO AI keys are deliberately excluded, since those never leave the gateway.
Publish again anytime — the workspace marks when your live site is behind your latest changes.
Custom domains
Add your own domain in the publish dialog:
- Enter the domain — opix attaches it (and its www counterpart) to your deployment.
- The dialog shows the exact DNS records to set at your registrar.
- While DNS propagates, opix checks what your records currently resolve to and explains mismatches in plain language — "your A record still points to your old host" instead of a spinner.
You can attach multiple domains and pick one as the primary — the canonical address the others redirect to.
The badge
Published apps on the free welcome credits or a Starter plan carry a small "Built with opix" badge. Pro and Business publish without it — including during the $1 Pro trial.
Team permissions
In a team workspace, publishing and domain changes are owner/admin actions — members build, but can't change what's live.
